All about the lamb dishes
Yosma is a brand new Turkish restaurant that has just recently launched on Baker Street. While it plays central stage to the classic Turkish grill dishes, it is far from your standard Turkish restaurant. It has a rather big menu containing both hot and cold meze, as well as dishes from using a clay oven. The restaurant itself is fairly big with a dark, modern feel to it. The space is spit into two part, with a main dining room on one side and a full cocktail bar on another. Guests are welcome to dine at the bar and the drink menu contain plenty of raki and raki based cocktail, Turkish's national spirit.

I was a great fan of the marinated sea bass, it was light and refreshing, it had a really lovely combination dressing of grapefruit and fennel, while the green chilli and basil offered a hint of spices. The lamb chops were simply wonderful, I could tell the kitchen were using really high quality cut after tasting how moist it was, cooked to perfection with spot on seasoning, using just the right amount of salt and lemon. The weakest dish of the meal was the short rib of beef, while it was tender, it lacked seasoning and the rich meaty flavours I was hoping for. However the pickled cucumber on the side did act as a great contrast with its sharp and light taste.

It was a really enjoyable evening, generally the dishes were done from good to high standard level, especially the lamb dishes. I would highly recommend any of those. Service was a bit slow but that was to be expected at its soft launch stage. I would be more than happy to return even at full price as this restaurant offered me something that other Turkish restaurant could not match.
