Park Chinois

The king of Chinese fine dining in London

Cantoense style roasted suckling pig

This is my 23rd visit to Park Chinois aka no1 Chinese fine dining spot. Many people would rate A Wong as the best Chinese restaurant in London, but I prefer something sticking more to tradition and less gimmicky elements. And that is what Park Chinois is for me. They use top-grade quality, and fine Chinese cuisine techniques to deliver something remarkable. It offers dim sum for lunch and a full-on Cantonese menu for dinner, plenty to pick from along with some top-class cocktail selections that just won best cocktail 2023 from the Michelin Guide.

Peking duck

Braised madai with mushrooms and seafood stock

This place is able to do Peking duck above anyone else, with the perfect crispy skin packed with explosive meat juice and finely seasoned. The day boat Cornish seabass was steamed and served ginger and spring onions, the fish was so moist and the aromatic taste of spring onions, along with the seasoned soy sauce really uplifted the sweetness of the fish, it was steam fish at its best. The stir fry wagyu beef with peppers was loaded with smoke, peppery, and savoury taste, and the beef had a melting texture, it was the diamond version of black bean and pepper beef.

Another visit, another top-notch meal, Park Chinois ticks all the boxes for me. There are plenty of great high-end Chinese restaurants in London, but Park Chinois edge above anyone else. I would keep on going back for sure.
