Park Chinois

Top-level Chinese Sunday lunch

Mushroom rice rolls with black truffle

Without a doubt, Park Chinois is easily the best Chinese restaurant in London for me. Located on Berkeley Street, the restaurant has two floors. The ground floor is ideal for relaxing dining while downstairs is in a night club manner. The lavish restaurant in Mayfair showcased top Cantonese cuisine, as well as some regional Chinese classics, all done in a fine dining manner, using top of the range ingredients from around the world. I returned to Park Chinois for the seventh time for a lazy long Sunday lunch, with a selection of dim sum as the starter, before moving onto duck and seafood dishes.

Xiao long bao
Venison puffs

Park Chinois's version of Peking Duck is an art form. All the skin and meat got sliced off before reassemble into a body shape of a duck. The skin was extra charred to get that amazing crispy skin, it was so crunchy and thick that it was almost like crisp, really stunning. The King crab stir fry noodles were just as good, the crab meat was loaded with lovely rice wine aroma and the sauce of the noodles had so much umami taste. Last but not least is a wild seabass, stewed in a pot with pickled vegetable and tomatoes. The sweet and sour taste of the broth delivered a refreshing taste which really enhanced the richness of the seabass.

Once again, Park Chinois delivered another top-notch meal, all the dim sum were crafted beautifully, very well executed in both visually and taste. As for the main courses, it was just as good. This is what Park Chinois is all about, stunning Fine dining Chinese food with exceptional taste. It is not a cheap venue of course, with some main dishes costing around the £50 mark. However, it is value for money as the restaurant does use really top of the range ingredients and cooked by a team of top chefs. For a special occasion, you can not go wrong with Park Chinois.
