Kima is a one-of-a-kind seafood restaurant that does something outside the box. It transports diners from the bustling city to the serene shores of the Mediterranean, where the fresh sea breeze mingles with the scent of fresh seafood. This elegant Greek seafood restaurant offers a contemporary dining experience, blending traditional flavours with modern culinary artistry. It has a fresh daily catch counter load with top quality fish, you would find wild seabass, and seabream as well as more rare fishes such as grouper and madai, and Kima has a unique way of serving fish.

Fin to gill is a special take from Kima on fish, with a large fish served in a few ways to get the best out of all parts. I opted for a 1.5kg wild seabass and it was served four ways: Soup, raw, grilled, and with giouvetsi. The thinly sliced raw seabass was top-class, and the lemon and olive oil dressing, along with a light touch of salt delivered freshness to the max. I found the collar was just as good, with a bold charred taste yet it wasn't overcooked, the fish was so smooth and creamy. The main grilled seabass fillet served on a bed of tomato giouvetsi was also very enjoyable, the sweet and sour note worked well with the fish, and the texture of the pasta was just perfect.

This was my second visit, and I found it just as good as my first one. The chef team at Kima has mastered fish cooking, with the perfect control of the heat and timing, not easy to get it right. Kima is a hidden gem in London’s thriving dining scene. It offers a unique and refined take on Greek cuisine, with an unwavering focus on fresh, fine-quality seafood. While prices lean toward the higher end, the quality of the ingredients and the culinary finesse make it well worth the splurge.
