Smack Lobster

Lobster joy

Smack Lobster
Smack lobster is the latest offering by the people behind Goodman, in Burger & Lobster, they already had changed the dining scene in London with affordable whole lobster either cooked on the grill or steamed. With Smack Lobster, they had push to the limit with lobster roll going for £9 eat in or £7.50 for take away. Service is fast food format, you order at the till and wait for yours orders from the other side.

The warm lobster chowder is just the kind of soup you would love in winter, the buttery and creamy texture was just spot on and not overly rich and blessed with the flavours of the lobster. The Happy Ending lobster roll: Japanese mayo, fish sauce and coriander was a little too salty for my liking but you can really taste the freshness of the lobster meat. The best deal at Smack Lobster has to be the whole lobster which cost £12, boiled and served cold with a lemon slice and mayo, it was so fresh and full of natural sweetness.

I loved Smack Lobster, the lobsters here are outstanding and in fact much better than most of the up market places that serve lobsters. Price wise it was also a real winner, a lobster roll cost £7.50 each and is just something I've not ever heard of before, I enjoyed it so much that I ended up going to Smack Lobster three times in less than a week to try every single item on the menu.
