Of course, many high-end Chinese restaurants in London are all about the Peking duck, and to say Park Chinois' version is special is an understatement. The skin is air-dried to a level that is very crispy yet retained an explosive juicy mouthfeel once you bite into it. The chef carefully removed the fat layer and deboned all the meat, before reassembled it back into a duck shape. This is simply sensational and easily the best Peking duck you could find in the UK. Another classic of the house is my personal all-time favorite, the steamed king crab legs, cooked with aged rice wine and egg white. It was steamed perfectly with such a bursting joyful umami aroma, the crab was really sweet and goes so well with the bed of silky smooth thick rice rolls.

All the classic dishes at Park Chinois were indeed sensational. It wasn't creative or overly ambitious at all, it was just really great Chinese food done at such a refined level, and that is what I like about the place. There are many high-end Chinese restaurants popping up in the Capital in the last few years, while some are very good in their own right, none are near as good as Park Chinois. Simply put, if you are looking for an exceptional Chinese cuisine experience for a special occasion, this is the place.
