High end stylish Mediterranean grill

This is my second visit to Lita, the Mediterranean-themed grill house in Marylebone, which really impressed me with its appealing menu with a focus on Spanish and Italian cuisine. I am a fan of this stylish eatery which offers a refreshing escape from the city’s fast pace. The space feels intimate but not cramped, making it perfect for both casual get-togethers and special occasions. While the price tag is fine dining level and just as expensive as many 1 Michelin-starred outlets in London, the cooking is high class and uses a lot of top-level ingredients, such as Galician rib steak and Cantabrian anchovies.

Pan con tomate, Cantabrian anchovies |

Red prawn and melon cold soup |

Hand-dived Orkney scallops, white strawberries, citrus |
Lita’s menu is a Mediterranean feast for the senses. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are at the heart of every dish, and the restaurant's commitment to quality shines through in every bite. I really enjoyed the sweetbread, it had a lovely creamy texture and the earthly note of the mushrooms worked in harmony together. The new dish was a lobster seafood rice cooked like paella on an open fire, the rice was cooked perfectly, blessed with the taste of the sea thanks to the shellfish stock, and the Native blue lobster had such a wonderful sweet umami taste, it was the best dish of the lots. The only negative would be the whole turbot, I found it was a touch overcooked this time compared to my first visit.

Limousin veal sweetbread, pomme puree, girolles |

Cornish crab and tomato linguine |
|
Dry aged Devon duck, salt baked beetroot, Provencal cherries |

Grilled Cornish turbot 1.3kg |
Lita Marylebone is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fresh, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed yet stylish setting. With its excellent food, thoughtful service, and charming ambiance, it’s a dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. As I mentioned on my first visit, Lita is easily one of the best in London for Mediterranean-style theme cuisine. I prefer it over Michelin-starred venues such as Mountain and The Ninth. Therefore, I won't be shocked if Lita itself lands a star come 2025.
