Located in the vibrant Kingly Court of Soho, Goldie offers a unique, wood-fired twist on dining that’s captivating London’s food enthusiasts. Known for its cozy, relaxed atmosphere and an emphasis on flame-grilled flavors, Goldie’s menu brings together fresh, seasonal ingredients with bold, rich tastes that elevate each dish. The open kitchen space allows diners to witness all the open fire actions, spreading an extremely inviting smoky aroma around the dining room. The menu is short, with around 20 dishes, mostly grilled or deep-fried.

In the snack selection, the BBQ corn was something that sounded simple but tasted so great. It was sweet and sat in a sea of creamy parsley butter, very comforting. While Goldie is a grill restaurant, it does have some very strong deep-fried offerings, too. The fries here are outstanding. They are deep-fried in beef oil, which creates a very bold and savoury aroma and a lovely crunch. The quality is good enough that I didn't need any dips to go with the fries. The grilled chicken was cooked well, very tender, with a rich depth of spices and a smokey aroma, I don't think you can get much better as far as grilled chicken goes.

Goldie is more than just a grill spot, it’s a culinary escape that merges traditional wood-fired cooking with modern, seasonal British ingredients. Great if you are around Soho or just looking to savor the fun and relaxing grilled fare. It doesn't take itself too seriously, so this is an ideal place for a casual catch-up over some tasty, meaty food. Along with Donia, I would rate these two are the best restaurants in Kingly Court Soho.
